Receipts OnHand
Four ready-made Shortcuts that hand a receipt straight to the app. Install one, and adding a receipt becomes a single tap, a voice command, or a step in a bigger shortcut of your own.
The shortcuts
Add Receipt to OnHand
The plain one. Hand it an image or a PDF, from the share sheet, from a Home Screen icon, or by asking Siri, and the receipt goes straight into your review queue.
Add Web Receipt
Run it on the page you are looking at. It turns the current Safari page (an order confirmation, a booking, an emailed invoice opened in the browser) into a PDF and adds that.
Add Receipt from Clipboard
For a receipt image you have just copied. One tap takes whatever is on the clipboard and files it, without a trip through Photos.
Add Receipt from Files
Opens a file picker so you can pull one or several receipts out of iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or anywhere else the Files app can reach.
What you need
- Receipts OnHand installed on the device you run the shortcut on. Each of these calls the app’s own Add Receipt action, so without the app there is nothing on the other end.
- The receipt-reading model downloaded. A shortcut can add a receipt before the model is installed, but it will sit unread in Review until it is.
- iPhone, iPad or Mac. The same shortcuts work on all three.
Installing and using them
- Download the shortcut. It opens in the Shortcuts app.
- Review the steps (you can see what each one does) and tap Add Shortcut.
- Run it from the Shortcuts app, add it to your Home Screen, put it in the share sheet, or say “Hey Siri, add a receipt”.
Every one of these is editable. Open it in Shortcuts and change anything you like. They are starting points, not black boxes.
Or build your own
You do not need these at all. The app publishes an Add Receipt action that appears in the Shortcuts editor like any other, takes one or more images or PDFs, and reports back how many receipts were actually added. In the editor it picks up the previous step’s output automatically, so a chain like Make PDF → Add Receipt works without wiring anything up by hand. The user guide has the details.
